There was a history factor in this book. It had to do with the underground railroad during the civil way period. While looking into the disappearance of a high profile citizen of the community, the police come across a smuggling ring.police are brought in from the big city, and eventually even the FBI are brought in. We have a baby on the way, a soon to be wedding, an engagement and lots of other things happening.the police are diligent, clues are found, and things get resolved before the big yearly church social. A clean language book, no sex scenes, or gory crime areas. Just an enjoyable read.Theila

I enjoyed the characters and the clean wholesome interactions. Good plot to keep you reading and guessing. Would like to give rhe big city a real name though, fictional but believable.
I really enjoyed this book. When i got my kindle it took me a week to read a book this size now i can read a book this size in a day.i will buy more of Diane Roads book when money allows me too. Great book.
